The University Residences Women's Leadership Series (WLS) was created as a platform for women to help women. Women living in University Residences and involved with Dining & Culinary are selected to be part of this group via a nomination process at the beginning of each fall semester. You can be nominated by a peer, faculty or staff member or even yourself.
Being part of the Women's Leadership Series will connect you not only to professional mentors but to other Boilermakers just like yourself who are seeking ways to grow professionally and to build their confidence. We are champions of empowering women striving to be bold and to take small steps that will one day lead to giant leaps.
This year, the Women's Leadership Series will focus learning and leadership opportunities focused on the book, "Well-Being: The Five Essential Elements" by Tom Rath & Jim Harter
Current Scheduled Events for the 2022-2023 academic year include:
September 25th: Kick off with Barb Frazee, Assistant Vice Provost for Student Life
January 29th: TBD
March 5th: Celebration & Awards Dinner
In addition, 5 additional sessions will individually explore each of the elements of Wellbeing; Career, Social, Financial, Physical, & Community.
Both WLS and Men's Leadership Series (MLS) conclude in the spring with an awards ceremony and celebration.
