Reapply for Housing for the 2023-24 Academic Year!

Now is the time to be thinking about your housing for next year. Beginning October 9, you can reapply for housing in University Residences by logging into the housing portal during the Apply Phase. Once in the portal, click Reapplication in the top navigation bar, then choose the 2024-25 academic year in the term selector. If you are interested in living in University Residences, all applications must be signed and a room booking selected by December 20, 2023. With an application and room booking by December 20, you may continue to make changes to your selections through February 28, 2024. Any applications that are not complete and do not have a room booking selected by December 20, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. EDT will be cancelled. Students who miss this deadline will be able to place their name on a waitlist beginning December 21. 

Please read carefully through the following sections to ensure you are prepared to reserve the space you would like for the 2024-25 academic year.

Reapplication Phases

October 9 - December 20, 2023: Apply Phase

Check your Purdue email. Log in to the housing portal and apply for housing if you’re planning to live with us next year. Your application is required if you would like to select a room for next year.

  • Once in the housing portal, click Reapplication in the top navigation bar. It is important to complete this step to be eligible for the next phase of reapplication.
  • If you have not decided whether you will be living in University Residences next year, we advise you to apply for University Residences housing to keep this option available to you. You will have until February 28, 2024, to cancel but if you fail to apply and select a room by December 20, 2023, you will have to add your name to the waitlist for housing beginning December 21.
  • You may begin building roommate groups within the housing portal. Roommate groups are people that you are interested in living with next year.
  • Very important! You will not be able to request a current student presently living off campus or an incoming transfer student for your roommate as these students will need to place their names on a waiting list to sign a housing contract if space is available after May 5, 2024.
  • You will have the opportunity to request a roommate during Reapplication. If your roommate request is accepted, you will also need to assign your accepted roommate request with you beginning with the start date of your room selection timeslot. 
November 1, 2023: Junior / Senior Room Selection Phase Begins

Senior and junior students who signed an application and need to select a room may begin doing so.

November 6, 2023: Freshman / Sophomore Room Selection Phase Begins

Freshmen and sophomore students who signed an application and need to select a room may begin doing so.

December 20, 2023: Deadline to Sign an Application & Select a Room
  • This is the deadline to sign a housing application and select a room for the 2024-25 academic year.
  • Any applications that are not complete and do not have a room booking selected by this date will be cancelled. If you're still interesed in living with University Residences, you may add your name to the waitlist.
December 21, 2023: Waitlist
Any student who did not sign an application and select a room booking by the December 20 deadline may add their name to the waitlist beginning December 21.
January 15 - February 28, 2024: Spring Only Residents Phase
  • Students who have a spring-only housing application for 2023-24 academic year may enter the housing portal, sign an application and select an open bed space for the 2024-25 academic year.
  • Any applications that are not complete and do not have a room booking selected by February 28, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. EST will be cancelled. If you're still interesed in living with University Residences, you may add your name to the waitlist beginning February 29.
February 28, 2024 11:59 p.m.: Reapplication Ends
  • This is the deadline to make changes to your housing selections for the 2024-25 academic year.
  • This is the deadline for students with a signed application, but no bed space, to secure a bed space.
  • This is the deadline to cancel your housing application for the 2024-25 academic year.
  • You can make changes to or cancel your signed housing application at any time during the reapplication process. Reapplication closes on February 28, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. EST, at which time all signed applications in the system become legally binding. Beginning February 29, 2024, at 12:00 a.m. your signed application for the 2024-25 academic year may only be canceled if you will NOT be attending Purdue University during the 2024-25 academic year contract term.
February 29, 2024: Reapplication System is Closed
All signed applications without a reserved bed space will be canceled. If this applies to you, you will be notified via your Purdue email account.

 

Important Note: If you want to participate during a particular phase, you should renew your application as soon as you are eligible or the space may not be available once the next phase begins.
