Summer Intern Housing in Indianapolis

University Residences at Purdue University in Indianapolis offers affordable, comfortable, and convenient housing for summer interns at LUX on Capitol. Summer internship housing is available from May 25 - August 10, 2025. Housing must booked from Sunday to Sunday with a 30-night minimum stay. Two types of intern housing is being offered in Indianapolis — group housing for our Purdue and Corporate partners as well as individual housing for any individual students.

Group Housing 

Purdue and Corporate group housing requests are now open. Click the "Group Housing Request" button below to submit your group housing request today. 

Before Submitting: Purdue and Corporate partners will need to create an account to submit a request. To create an account, click on the "Group Housing Request" button below and select "Register New Account". Once you have created your account, you will be able to enter your program information and submit your request by selecting "Program Request" at the top of the page.

 

Priority will be given to group housing requests while space remains available. To request housing for your Corporate Group Interns, please submit your request by clicking the button below.

Individual Intern Housing  

Individual Intern Housing applications for summer 2025 are now open. Click the "Individual Intern Request" button below to submit your application. This is a 2 part application process. Once necessary documents have been submitted, a member of the Purdue Housing Team will review them. If approved, the Individual will receive an email to complete the application process by submitting payment and selecting housing. A confirmation email will be sent to the Individual once the reservation has been completed/confirmed. 

 

Application Deadline: Submission must be completed three weeks prior to arrival date. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Depending on demand, rooms may not be available into the summer. Once rooms are no longer available, the portal will be turned off.

Requirements 

Each participant must meet the following requirements: 

  • 18+ Years of Age 
  • Enrolled in a Higher Education, Degree-Seeking Program
  • Participating in an internship at Purdue University or the Greater Indianapolis Area
  • Must abide by the guidelines of behavior for University Residences 
  • Must abide by the 2025 Summer Intern Housing Agreement 

Applying and Reserving Your Space

Interns will need to apply individually. During the application process, the following documents will need to be uploaded: 

  • Proof of enrollment in a degree-seeking program 
  • Proof of employment with your internship
  • Completed departmental account transfer form (Department Pay Option Only - Purdue ONLY) 
  • Completed company pay from (Company Pay Option Only)

A $75.00 non-refundable application fee is required and will automatically be charged through the application process. 

Payment Options 

Interns have the following options for payment: 

  • Purdue Departmental Account Transfer Option (download form here
If the department with whom you are interning is paying for your housing, a departmental account transfer form will need to be completed. This form will be made available during the registration process and also above. Please have the departmental account transfer document completed and signed by a departmental authority. The $75.00 application fee will be assessed through the departmental billing and account transfer and, therefore will not need to be paid by the intern to reserve a space.
  • Self-Pay Option
Pay the full amount of your stay with a major credit card at the time of online registration. Debit cards will not be accepted. Registration is not complete until full payment has been received.
  • Company Pay Option (download form here
If the company with whom you are interning is paying for your housing, a company pay form will need to be completed. This form will be made available during the registration process and also above. Please have the company pay document completed and signed by a company authority. The $75.00 application fee will be assessed through the company pay form and, therefore will not need to be paid by the intern to reserve a space.

Amenities 

  • All rooms in LUX are air-conditioned, fully furnished (linens not included), and include Wi-Fi and cable television hookup. 
  • All interns will reside in a four-bedroom apartment where each intern will be provided a single bedroom and private bathroom.
  • As no meal plans are available, each apartment will have a kitchen that is shared amongst the four interns, for which you will need your own cooking supplies. Cooking supplies will not be provided. 
  • LUX on Capitol is located just three blocks east of campus, residents can enjoy the many amenities including a luxurious clubhouse with media and gaming areas, 24-hour fitness center, pool with tanning ledge, basketball court and fire pit.
