All students living in University Residences have the opportunity to apply to continue living on campus at Purdue. Living on campus allows you to continue enjoying experiences such as programs, hall clubs and leadership opportunities while enjoying the convenience of a meal plan and having easy access to all that campus has to offer. Rooms are available to accommodate your preferred living situation and budget.
The housing reapplication process for 2025-26 has been revised. Our goal for the housing reapplication process was to create an equitable experience for all residents. We will have approximately 550 beds available for returning residents. All residents who are selected in the process will be able to choose a room from available inventory. Students must opt into the process if you wish to select housing this fall.
Each resident interested in living in University Residences next year must sign up for Housing Reapplication Process. Residents can opt into the Housing Reapplication Process from January 27 at 8:30 a.m. EST to February 4 at 5 p.m. EST in the Housing Portal. Everyone who opts in during this window will have an equal chance at being selected in the prcoess. During this step, you will also identify roommates or roommate preferences and sign a housing application. All residents who opt into the process will be notified on February 12, 2025, if they will have an opportunity to select a room for the 2025-26 academic year. There is no fee to enter the housing reapplication process.

By February 12, 2025
Residents who participated in the Housing Reapplication Process will receive an email sent to their Purdue email address on February 12. In this email, you will either receive a date and time (time slot) to choose a room in the housing portal or a notification that you were not selected for reapplication. All students who are selected in the process will be able to choose a room from inventory available during their assigned time slot. Selected residents will be automatically assigned a 7-track meal plan during the reapplication process and will make their final meal plan selection during summer 2025.
If you opt into the process and are not selected, you may be offered open space if it becomes available during room selection or have the opportunity to join a waitlist in March.
NOTE: Process selections are determined randomly.
February 17 – February 21, 2025
Rooms of all types have been proportionally allotted for returners. Students who are selected in the process will be able to choose a room from available inventory during their room selection time slot.
Information sessions will be available for students to learn more about the reapplication process and to give students an opportunity to ask questions in person.
