Housing Options

Purdue in Indianapolis students will have the opportunity to live on or close to campus. Tailored to meet your preferences, our housing options offer a comfortable and vibrant environment in downtown Indianapolis. Find your space in North Hall or just east of campus at LUX on Capitol.

Returning Students

The returning student application process is now open to all returning students if they do not already have a booking and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis as inventory allows. Returning students will have the opportunity to select a room in either North Hall or LUX on Capitol based on availability.

New Incoming Students

The new incoming student application process will be from January 26 until June 5, 2024. New students will have the opportunity to rank their room type preferences.

Please note the priority deadline for new students to submit their application is May 20, 2024 to express their interest in Learning Communities, request roommates, and submit housing accommodation requests to the Disability Resource Center. These requests will be taken after May 20 up until June 5 and will be considered as space permits but are not guaranteed.

Engage in a Learning Community

Learning communities offer opportunities to live, learn and connect with other students who share your interests. Learning communities can be selected through the housing portal preferrably by May 20 and up until June 5. 

If you expressed interest in a Learning Community, you will receive notification of your placement decision the week of June 10, 2024. 

Move-In

Students registered for Boiler Gold Rush should plan to move in on August 13. All other students who are not registered for Boiler Gold Rush should plan to move in on August 16 or after. Further information regarding the process for move-in will be updated as it is made available.

Dining Options

Your meal plan options will look familiar as we will be partnering with IUI Dining to provide meal plans for residents. Meal plans will be required for students residing in North Hall and available to all Purdue in Indianapolis students. Students with a meal plan can eat at Tower Dining or one of the Chartwells-managed locations across campus using meal swipes loaded onto their student ID card.
