Winter Break Housing

Room-only-interim housing is available to students wishing to stay during the winter break for an additional charge, as contracted room and board charges do not cover this scheduled vacation period (with the exception of University Residences apartments).

Pre-registration is required for anyone staying over break.

Interim housing is not available to students who are graduating in December or not returning in the spring. 

Special Note: If you live in Hawkins or Hillenbrand Hall, you will be unable to remain in your assigned space over break due to scheduled maintenance. Students living in Hawkins or Hillenbrand Hall, requiring housing, will be assigned to a temporary space and will NOT have access to their academic year assignment over break.

Winter Break Contract Details

Dates of Contract  December 19, 2022 - January 3, 2023
Housing Cost  $500
Deadline to Sign Contract  Tuesday, December 6th, 2022
Deadline to Cancel With Refund  Tuesday, December 6th, 2022

Behavioral guidelines will be the same as during the academic semester.

Registration constitutes binding acceptance of the interim housing agreement. The student acknowledges they will be billed (when applicable) for the entire winter break when the registration form is completed and terms and conditions are accepted. Billing will not be prorated for students who do not stay the entire winter break. Students will see this additional charge on their MyPurdue account in January.

The registration form will be available beginning on or around November 1st at 12:00 noon. Please visit the  housing portal to register.
