My passions fall mostly within study abroad. I was given the opportunity to gain work experience abroad by completing a semester internship in England after graduate school. I also enjoy working with student leadership and continuing to help students develop their leadership skills. I really enjoy how welcoming and supporting the University Residences team is at Purdue. My days are often filled with smiles and support from my colleagues.

I have always wanted to help others accomplish their goals and I accomplish this through teaching and training. I love helping student leaders develop their skills for wherever life takes them. My favorite part about Purdue is working with people who love what they do! Oh, and Starbucks too! One of the most meaningful parts of my job is attending different events around campus to help me to understand my students' passions.

I believe every single individual on campus plays a role in the experience of our students. My goal is for students to graduate from Purdue with more than just a degree. I believe every student should leave college with a sense of personal identity, prepared to take on the world as a well-rounded global citizen. The greatest accomplishment anyone can have in this field is knowing you’ve impacted a student’s life. Some of my proudest moments relate to students I have advised accomplishing a personal goal and thanking me for having influenced them in a positive way.

I am passionate about student leadership and development. It is an incredibly rewarding experience to work with students on exploring and expressing their identities as leaders and helping the students articulate ways in which they can make a positive impact on their communities. No other environment outside of the college campus has the ability to fill me with the same sense of excitement, opportunity, and purpose.

My favorite part about working at Purdue is the students, who are incredibly smart and talented, and are also very fun to work with. I appreciate the Greater Lafayette area because it has all the amenities of a big city but without the traffic! I am passionate about life-long learning; I love being able to create an environment for students where they can learn from faculty members and peers, but also the opportunity to teach something to others that they are passionate about.

Working with student leadership and building relationships with students are what really get me excited! When not at work, you can find me thrifting or walking my toy Australian Shepherd, Eileen.

Being able to connect with other underrepresented groups and connecting to the world of ‘geekery’ (video games/anime/comic books) motivates me and gives me energy. The people at Purdue are great and everyone is very supportive and willing to help you out with anything! A meaningful experience I have at Purdue is connecting with black students on campus, sharing experiences and helping them succeed.

My passion area is first generation, low-income and at-risk students, and providing them the resources and mentoring they need to be successful. I also work to advocate for students that may not have a voice on campus. My favorite part about Purdue is how familial Residential Life feels. I enjoy how close we all can be. I love to explore downtown Lafayette. The courthouse is beautiful and I love checking out the different restaurants throughout the downtown area.

Working with students and helping them navigate this time of challenge, growth, and transition excites me. I'm passionate about social justice, equity, and advocating alongside students from marginalized populations. My favorite part of working at Purdue is the people. Every day I am amazed at the support, connections, and growth opportunities provided by students, my peers, and supervisors. My goal in my position is to provide a space each student feels confident to grow and learn. I am passionate about social justice and inclusion, and women's empowerment. I also enjoy working with civic engagement and providing students the opportunity to learn about the community that provides them the opportunity to have an institution. Being able to hear my staff members’ stories of success and acceptance into graduate programs or internships has made all the work each day worth it. Knowing my students are making a difference at Purdue and beyond has been amazing.

My passion area related to higher education is Mental Health Awareness. Helping students is what motivates me to continue my own personal growth to best help the students I interact with. My favorite part about working at Purdue is the relationships that I have built. Working at such a large institution I was worried at first about connecting with people, but since working here I have made many strong bonds that I wouldn't trade for anything. I love working on my car and attending car shows, and playing sports. I also enjoy going to downtown Lafayette for food and fun.

My passion areas include student support and guiding students along their student careers. Knowing that the work we do everyday helps students achieve their goals and live up to the aspirations that they set is something that brings meaning to the work that I do and especially with the student staff that I work with. My favorite part about working at Purdue is the small-community feel. In the time that I have been here, I have been able to build relationships with an array of individuals. Whenever I am walking on campus and see someone, we are always able to engage in a friendly conversation or we make time to catch up over a coffee break.

Working with Purdue students is my favorite part of working at Purdue. I love having impromptu conversations with students who stop by my office to talk about philosophy, theoretical physics, and art/design, sometimes all in the same day! Purdue students are some of the most eager, respectful, and inquisitive people I have ever met. I am passionate about the study of leadership. I believe in a philosophy of experimentation: giving students the space to try out different leadership styles or approaches while also encouraging their reflection on those attempts.

My favorite part about working at Purdue is the relationships I have made with my co-workers. We are always educating each other and helping one another grow in our field, which deepens our friendships. I find motivation in watching students grow and create, coming up with amazing ways to help out their fellow students. I love getting together with other friends and family and playing board games. whether it is at home or at Merlin's Beard, a board game bar in Lafayette. It is a ton of fun finding a group of people to play a new game with time playing with.
