Earhart

Amelia Earhart joined the faculty at Purdue in 1936 and while she taught here, she lived in Windsor Hall (Duhme). Her influence on women is something we're proud of and why we named our Faculty-in-Residence program in her name.

Dining Facility Inside

Earhart opened in 1964. The hall is comprised of traditional rooms with a shared community bath. The hall is air-conditioned and has individual room temperature controls for a/c and heat. There are also many community spaces that can become an extension of your living space including a shared kitchen, private small group study rooms and large social lounges and you’ll enjoy the fact that Earhart Dining Court is right downstairs. You can avoid having to go outside for meals in those chilly winter months. Earhart also has an “On-The-GO!" where you can grab hot or cold food for those busy days to maximize your time.

Something For Everyone at Earhart

Earhart Hall is a great place to live. With several Learning Communities, the experiences gained through residential life at Earhart are endless. The bonding and friendships you create while living in the hall will last throughout your college career and students, especially those in a living learning community are only a few steps away from fellow classmates dealing with the same rigors of adjusting to college life and those challenging group projects. Earhart Hall offers a wide array of activities for its residents. Everything from intramural sports to working with the Itasca club, are available for each resident.
