Welcome to Meredith South! We are an all-female community that houses the Women in Engineering, Women in Technology, Women in Science and Women in Agriculture Living Learning Communities. So if you love STEM, Meredith South is a great place to call home! Not to be confused with the original Meredith Hall next door, Meredith South opened in Fall 2020 and contains approximately 713 beds. The residence hall is located off First Street in between Martin Jischke Drive and Earhart Drive and offers pod-style housing with a mix of single, double and quad-occupancy student rooms arranged around a centralized bathroom and lounge area. All rooms are air conditioned.

Unique Features

Meredith South has numerous places within the hall to study, practice music or work on group projects. There are private study areas and lounges on the end of the floors with huge windows that overlook beautiful mature trees. Wait until you see the colors change in the fall! A serene, picturesque setting to help you focus and explore your creativity. Downstairs on the first floor, there is also space for larger gatherings in the multi-purpose room. In addition, learning community instructors have offices within the building and can hold convenient meetings with students. You'll appreciate how this style of housing allows you to live, collaborate and study with peers pursuing the same course of study.

Dining Options

Inside Meredith South, on the ground floor, are two retail dining locations: Panera and Qdoba. Earhart Dining Court (try the amazing stir fry from the Mongolian grill!) is right next door, as is Sushi Boss, 1Bowl and Pete's Za (inside the original Meredith Hall). Hillenbrand Dining Court and Windsor Dining Court are also not far so you have a lot of options!
