The Honors College and Residences (HCR) opened in 2016. Through a partnership with the Purdue Honors College, this residence hall integrates planned academic space to make on-campus living and learning a more seamless experience. The Honors College and Residences consists of two halls (North and South) and features "pod" style housing. This means there are a mix of single, double, triple, and quad rooms grouped in small clusters around a central bathroom and lounge area on each floor.
In order to connect students in the North and South buildings, you'll be assigned to a House. The five houses are:
Each house will have a Resident Assistant (RA), who is a student that plans programs to inform, educate and build relationships, and can also assist you with personal and academic challenges that you may encounter.
The Purdue Honors College has offices on the first floor, giving you more direct access to faculty and professional staff. The arrangement takes what is great about a learning community and applies it to an entire residential college, making it a place to live and learn alongside an entire community of students committed to the highest academic achievement. The opportunities for engagement and mentorship will help foster an academic atmosphere previously unavailable in a residential setting.
