Purdue Day of Giving, scheduled for April 24, is a day to rally together to share your experiences, give back to organizations that shaped your time on campus and pay it forward to the next generation of students by creating opportunities for Boilermakers to take giant leaps.
University Residences and Dining & Culinary serve as more than just a place to eat and sleep through leadership development programs, student employment opportunities, clubs, programs and more. These experiences are some of the best parts of being a Boilermaker and create memories with classmates, roommates, friends and people who become your Purdue family. With the support of Purdue alumni and students, friends and family, faculty, staff and retirees from around the world, we can rally together to ensure the continuing quality and growth of these programs that contribute to a fulfilling residential campus experience.
This year, University Residences and Dining & Culinary will be focusing our fundraising efforts in the following areas.
Executive in Residence
This unique program, which brings prominent executives and Purdue alumni to campus to live for a week, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Executive in Residence now includes a learning community and a live-in Executive in Residence, which provide exclusive and unique access for residents to build relationships with successful alumni. A student ambassador program is an additional catalyst for the one-on-one interactions that are the hallmark of the program.
Club Leadership Scholarship Fund
This initiative provides a financial reward for students pursuing leadership experiences in residence halls. Hall club leaders will be recognized for the significant time they invest and the contributions they make to their residence hall communities to help offset the costs of room and board.
University Residences Student Leadership Programs
The University Residences Student Leadership Programs fund supports elite leadership experiences for students living in University Residences, including Men’s and Women’s Leadership Series and the Spring Leadership Institute retreat. The Men’s and Women’s Leadership Series focuses on physical, financial, social, career and community well-being within the context of leadership.
Dining & Culinary Student Success Annual Fund
This fund supplements the real-world work experience students gain in Dining & Culinary through additional professional development opportunities. Experiences often include guest speakers, training sessions, the opportunity to get professional headshots taken and more.
Dining & Culinary Professional Development Fund
This fund provides opportunities for professional staff to develop leadership skills, learn new culinary skills and more.
